The 2009 Australasian Conference on Robotics and Automation (ACRA 2009) will be held on 2-4 December 2009 in Sydney on the main campus of the University of Sydney. Since 1999, ACRA has brought together Australian and New Zealand researchers and students in the fields of robotics, automation and mechatronics providing a forum to present a breadth of research activities to the wider Australasian community. It has also provided participants the opportunity to network and interact professionally and socially.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers in PDF format. Six to ten pages in the standard ACRA format (templates available below) are allowed for each paper including figures. ACRA 2009 will be a single tracked conference (no parallel sessions or posters).

Paper Submission and Format

Authors are invited to submit a full paper (PDF file format), which will be fully peer reviewed, to ACRA 2009 no later than the submission date below. The proceedings will be available on CD-ROM only, i.e. there will be no paper proceedings. Papers should be formatted as outlined in the style documents (see below) and should be of 6 to 10 pages in length. Please indicate in the email if the first author of the paper is a student and you would like it to be considered for the best student paper prize.

Style guidelines

All papers should be submitted in PDF format and should be prepared as detailed in the ACRA format instructions for authors document (PDF). The following templates have been prepared to make life easy:

Videos

ACRA will be accepting video clips as a standard accompaniment to the PDF papers. Please submit video clips in MPEG format. Please refer to your video clips as you would figures or tables, e.g. "...as the experiment demonstrated (see Video 1)". Keep the clips short and do not include too much irrelevant material. The idea is that each clip should show some particular result.

Please go to the online submission site to submit your papers.

If you wish to submit a video then please put it on your web site and include a url to the video in your paper so that the reviewers can see it.
